We invite you to join us for Sunday Morning Worship. We strive to deliver a message that will lift your spirits, and provide food for thought and spiritual growth. We have quite a variety of themes and ideas for the morning message this month. You are welcome to join us for worship, no matter what your faith background, including none at all! We look forward to meeting you!
Summer Sermon Themes
From July 4th through September 5th we will be sharing services with Central Congregational Church. We meet together for five weeks at Central Baptist and then five weeks at Central Congregational. We have been sharing together since the 1970's. Over the years, we have built a bond of friendship and cooperation, as we seek to live out our mission to the community around us.
Paster Tom will be leading the services from July 4th through August 1st. We will go on a spiritual journey along the seashore. So, put on your flip-flops, grab your pail and shovel, and be sure to put on some sun screen, as we head for the beach with Jusus.
July 4: We'll be checking out the lighthouses that both greet and warn the ships along the coast. The texts are from John 1:4-9 and Matthew 5:14-16. How is your light shining?

July 11: We'll take a look at some sand castles. From Matthew 7:24-27, we will reflect on the permanent versus the temporary, as we build a life with God. How's your foundation?

July 18: We'll note the crashing of the waves. We will see their mighty power and effects. And we'll discover the One, who in Mark 4:36-41, is declared to be in control of the storms of life. Whose power do you trust?

July 25: We'll delight in the beauty of the sunrise and watch in silent awe at the sunset. Our text is from Matthew 5:43-48. We'll discover the goodness of God's gifts, and be reminded to share what we have freely received. Are you passing the good stuff on to others?

August 1: We'll climb on the rocks. We'll reflect on I Peter 2:4-6, and hopefully be encouraged by The Rock of our Salvation. Are you standing strong in the Lord? We will observe communion this week. Come for an opportunity to worship, with the expectation that Christ will meet with you here.

August 8th - September 5th we will join with the folks at Central Congregational Church under the capable leadership of Rev. John Zachry. All summer services begin at 9:30am
