May Sermon Themes

May 1: Come Dine - In the weeks following Easter, Christ appeared to the deciples on more than one occasion. The deciples were in a period of waiting for the Holy Spirit, and for a time went to Gallalee to fish. One morning after fishing all night, Christ was waiting for them on shore, breakfast ready. Christ understood that He could not capture their attention without feeding mind, body, and soul. We carry this tradition forward today, through our traditions of fellowship over a meal. Come dine, both literally and figuratively.

May 22:Jacob and Esau - The Value of Faith - What is most important to you? What motivates you and for what will you sacrifice? Esau taded his birth right to Jacob for a bowl of stew. On a daily basis, do we often trade the trivia of everyday life for our birth right from God? What do you value above all else?

May 29:Guidion, a Bible Hero - Many times God chooses those who are not powerful or significant by this world's standards. God came to Guidion while he was hiding in a wine press threshing wheat and called him mighty warrior who would deliver his people. God sees a person as he or she will become when God fills the person with the Holy Spirit for His purpose.
