June 5: Elijah - Choosing God - The people of Elijah's time had strayed from God. Elijah set up an alter to God who responded with an overwhelming demonstration of His power. Today wee are constantly bombarded with distractions. Every so often we too receive a demonstration of God's power and lover, but as with the ancient Isralites, can sometimes become distracted again.
