Our Church Staff
Pastor Tom Goldthwaite: Welcome to Central Baptist Church. It is my prayer that you will
find your spiritual home in Chelmsford, and we would be delighted if this were the place God led you to. You will not find perfection
here, but you will be able to grow in grace and understanding of the Christian faith. We hope you like the family feel of this church
and that you will find a place where you can serve God faithfully. Check us out any Sunday. If you have questions, feel free to send me an

Pastor Tom is in his seventh year at Central Baptist. He has served churches in New York and Massachursetts for 34 years. He is a graduate of Gordon College in Wenham, MA and has his M. Div. from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA.
Carol DiMaio, Administrative Assistant: The cheerful voice you hear on the phone when you call the office is our Administrative Assistant, Carol. She has been a significant part of the life of the church since the 1980's. She is currently a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, and an active part of the Women's Fellowship. She handles the scheduling for the building use and keeps track of rental availability. Carol is in the office Tuesday through Friday, from 8:30am to 11:30am.
Brian Scott, Chair of Trustees: Brian is the guy to contact if you wish to use the Littorin Hall or Ellis Room for an event, community activity, or long-term rental. He has his finger on the pulse of Church activitiy and keeps things in working order through the Board of Trustees and many volunteers.
Jeff Williams, Church Organist: Jeff is a gifted musician who brings so much life to our worship, both on the pipe organ and the baby grand piano. He teaches at Berklee and plays the guitar. If you wish to use his services for a wedding, funeral, or other special event, he would be glad to talk to you.
Map and Directions
Heading Southbound on Rt 3: Take exit 32. Stay in the right lane on the exit ramp. There is a traffic light at the end of the ramp. Go through the traffic light staying in the right most lane. Turn right just before the next traffic light (Route 4 South, Chelmsford). Stay on Route 4 (North Rd), going through two more traffic lights (the second traffic light is actually a double light, one immediately after the other). After going through the second set of traffic lights you will pass over Route 495. You will come to another traffic light (Fletcher Street) - continue straight through this traffic light. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Academy street. Academy street is a short street that borders the Chelmsford town common which will be on your left. At the end of Academy Street, the front of the church will be on your right. Take a right turn. The side of the church will now be on your right. Immediately after passing the church, you will see a sign for the church parking lot on your right. Enter and come in - we look forward to greeting you and getting to know you!
Heading Northbound on Rt 3: Take exit 32. Stay in the left lane on the exit ramp. There is a traffic light at the end of the ramp. Go through the traffic light and stay in the next to the left most lane. You will come to another traffic light. The left two lanes (you are in the next to the left most lane) peal off to the left as you approach the traffic light. You are making a left turn as you go through the traffic light. After going through the light, maneuver into the next to the right most lane. There should be one lane on your right, and two lanes on your left. You will come to another traffic light. Turn left at this traffic light (along with the other two lanes to the left of you), and immediately maneuver into the right most lane. You will be approaching yet another traffic light. Just before you get to this light, bear off to the right onto Route 4 South, Chelmsford. Stay on Route 4 (North Rd), going through two more traffic lights (the second traffic light is actually a double light, one immediately after the other). Heading Southbound on Rt 495: Take exit 34. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right (Route 110). At the second traffic light (Fletcher Street) turn right. Go to the traffic light at the end of Fletcher Street (St Mary's Church will be on your right, and Eastern Bank on your left). Turn left (Rt 4, North Rd). At the next traffic light turn right onto Academy Street. Academy street is a short street that borders the Chelmsford town common which will be on your left. At the end of Academy Street, the front of the church will be on your right. Take a right turn. The side of the church will now be on your right.
